We received a total of 33 suggestions for our new name. After applying the rules and filtering out the non-conformists, we were left with a list of 8.
The rule that eliminated the most entries was the “available to use and clear of obvious trademarks”, which caught 10 entries! At the bottom of the post will be a link to all the entries.
So while we haven't accepted any new combat-related names, we have kept the option to keep Deeside Defenders Tabletop Games Club & add another option to tweak our existing name to Deeside Tabletop Defenders Games Club.
So here is the list of possible names

For this vote, we have a new voting system. You are going to rank your choices, 1st to 10th.
Your FIRST choice should be the name you like the MOST, and your TENTH choice should be the name you like the LEAST
If you list the same name more than once, only the LOWEST choice will count. (e.g. you choose the same name for your third and fifth choices, only your third choice vote will count, your fifth choice will be blank.)
If you submit this form more than once, only the latest vote will count.
The Voting Process works as follows:
When voting ends, all the 1st choices will be counted.
If no name gets over 50% of the vote, then the name in last place gets eliminated, and the votes for the eliminated name will be transferred to the voters' 2nd choice.
The totals are recounted
If no name gets over 50%, we continue this process, eliminating the name in last place, transferring the vote to the voters' next available choice.
The poll will close at Midday, 4th December, and the result will be announced at the Christmas party later that day!
