Hi All, my apologies for starting this later than I hoped; sometimes life gets in the way.

We are now accepting new name suggestions for the club. The rules are

  • No Combat-related naming

  • No in-jokes or Obscure references

  • No Trendy Slang (it will become dated quickly)

  • No names that are too long, hard to spell or hard to pronounce

  • By default, the club will use Tabletop Games Club as its suffix. If your suggestion works better by having the suggested name inserted into that suffix (i.e. Tabletop X Games Club), please state in the notes box of your submission

  • Make it Memorable

  • Make it Original, Unique & Distinctive

  • Make it Timeless

  • Make it Short & Simple, 1 to 3 words long, we will already have Tabletop Games Club at the end of your suggestion.

  • Make sure it is Available to use and clear of obvious trademark conflicts

  • Consider the Acronym or possible shortened version, let's avoid something embarrassing.

  • Club McClubeface or anything else of that ilk will not be accepted.

Please submit your entries here

Once the submissions window is closed (in two weeks, midnight Thursday 13th November), we will apply the rules above to filter out the non-conforming suggestions and combine any suggestions that are similar.

After that, it all depends on how big the list of suggestions is. If we need to whittle the list down (8 is the max amount of suggestions on the voting poll, anything after that just gets too unwieldy), then we will involve the Officers in that process.

Hopefully, the filtering process takes no longer than a week.

Once the list is whittled down, we will open the polls for naming the club. The plan is to open the poll on Thursday, 20th November and close the poll at Midday on Thursday, 4th December. The new name of the club will be announced that day at the Christmas party.

This is a chance to create something that represents who we are now and where we’re going next.
