We wanted to communicate with as many people in the community as possible that in the past few weeks, our current home, the 'Daniel Owen Centre ' (DOC), held a trustee meeting to discuss its current fee structure.
As a result of this meeting, we have been informed that the cost of our nightly rent will need to increase by approximately 50%. Whilst this may seem high, we must add that we have had no increases in several years and are paying far less than other clubs/events.
In light of this, Alan (Chair), Sean (Treasurer), and I (Secretary) reviewed the accounts and, after consulting club officers, decided to increase the members' fee for attendance on Wednesday and Thursday to £3 a night from the 1st of August.
After our annual survey at the start of the year, there was a 100% consensus that the club fee was reasonable/more than reasonable. Therefore, we hope you understand our need to increase the fee to align with our rent cost increases. Doing so will allow us to maintain investment in terrain, trophies, medals, gaming mats & board games, which we understand is highly appreciated by our members.
