Deeside Defenders Take Two Teams to Allies of Convenience WTC 40k

Two teams of eight players travelled to Element Games in Stockport to represent the Deeside Defenders at the Allies of Convenience WTC 40k Tournament, held on the 26th–27th of July. This annual event serves as a key warm-up for the home nations ahead of the 40k World Teams Championship.

It was an extremely competitive tournament, featuring international teams from Wales, England, and Scotland. The intensity was further heightened by the presence of several mercenary teams made up of renowned players from across the UK.
Deeside Galacticos

The Deeside Galacticos secured 2 wins and 3 losses during the tournament, finishing 7th overall in the standings - 55 / 56 / 117 / 121 / 54
Deeside Dragons

The Deeside Dragons secured 1 win and 4 losses during the tournament, finishing 9th overall. - 28 / 25 / 93 / 57 / 28
Wales Team
Two of our very own Deeside Defenders proudly represented the Wales national team at the tournament, where the team achieved an impressive 3rd place finish.
Josh Townley – Serving as Wales Vice Captain and one of the eight core players, Josh won 3 out of his 5 matches, playing a key role in securing the team’s podium finish.
Ben Lane – Attending as one of the coaches for Wales, Ben was instrumental in strategizing player pairings and supporting the playing eight throughout the event.
